![]() ![]() Most people who bash yaoi have never seen it, never plan on seeing it, and never will see it. Yaoi- from what I have observed or heard, at least- seems to do a much better job tapping into real emotions and real situations than the other two, and for that I do respect it. But I will say, I tend to respect yaoi the most of the three, even though I don't watch any of them. Even regular heterosexual hentai I find bothersome, for a variety of reasons. And at that, I also stay away from yuri, too, because I find it almost equally bothersome. Then again, that is why I stay away from yaoi. But any sexual development will typically bother me. I don't mind if two male characters love each other at all, and if it's that sort of interaction, then sure, I'd watch it happily. I don't mind gay characters-in fact, I have a number of gay friends, including two of my very close friends- I just prefer not seeing such explicit interactions. It's not so much that I'm against yaoi, and even if I were, I am not one whose opinion holds enough merit to make any difference anyways, but I will honestly admit that I sometimes find yaoi bothersome. I can sort of second that.when scenes of or resembling yaoi are thrown into a show at moments I'm not expecting, I am sort of taken aback.
